Prince Harry is once again under scrutiny from royal experts who are urging him to move on from the past and focus on building a new path forward.
Royal commentator Roya Nikkhah, royal editor for The Sunday Times, discussed the matter in an interview with Fox News Digital, where she referenced a revealing remark made by one of Harry’s former advisers.
“All he does is spend time looking back. If only he could wrench his neck around and look forward,” the adviser reportedly told Nikkhah — a comment that struck a chord during their conversation.
Nikkhah responded honestly, saying, “I don’t see that happening at all.”
She added that Harry’s desire to revisit old wounds isn’t shared by the Royal Family. “I don’t think it’s wanted by him, and it’s certainly not wanted by the royal family. The whole point of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex leaving was that the late Queen agreed — you can’t be half in, half out.”
The possibility of Harry returning to the UK in any official capacity also seems unlikely, according to Nikkhah.
“I don’t think he wants to be back in the U.K. doing official royal duties,” she said, reinforcing the idea that both sides have accepted the separation.
She did, however, consider the idea of limited involvement. “Would he sometimes like to maybe join the family at events? Possibly,” she speculated. “But I don’t think there’s any desire on either side for him to come back to do royal duties again.”
As Harry continues to forge a new life away from the institution he left behind, royal insiders suggest that true progress may only come if he stops looking back and starts focusing on the future.
