Queen Camilla Travels Hundreds of Kilometers for Charity Visit

Queen Camilla undertook a significant journey on Wednesday, travelling over 300 kilometers from London to Barnstaple as part of her royal duties.

Her visit marked the 30th anniversary of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) at Little Bridge House, where she joined staff, volunteers, and families in celebrating the milestone.

A statement shared on the royal family's official Instagram account read:

"In Barnstaple, The Queen has joined staff, volunteers and families in celebrating the 30th anniversary of Children’s Hospice South West at Little Bridge House."

Founded by Eddie and Jill Farwell, Little Bridge House was the first of three hospices established to offer a peaceful and supportive environment for babies, children, and young people living with life-limiting conditions across the South West of England.

The hospice is equipped with a wide array of facilities, including a playroom for creative expression, a multi-sensory room featuring soothing lights, sounds, and textures, a soft play area for safe fun, and a hydrotherapy pool designed to ease joint stiffness and muscle spasms.

Photos shared by the royal family show Queen Camilla warmly interacting with children, families, and staff at the facility. King Charles did not accompany the Queen on this solo engagement.
