The ongoing rift between Prince William and Prince Harry continues to cast a shadow over the monarchy, with experts warning that the brothers’ relationship is at an all-time low.
According to royal commentator Duncan Larcombe, the tension between the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex has only worsened with time. “There’s no doubt the feud between them is worse than ever. So much has happened, and there has been so much betrayal and fury,” he told OK! Magazine.
The expert explained that the lack of communication is only making matters worse: “The longer they don’t speak, the deeper the feud will get.”
Larcombe pointed to Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview as the first major turning point. The couple’s decision to openly discuss family matters—particularly regarding King Charles and Prince William—was seen as a shocking break from royal tradition.
Things escalated further with the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, which Larcombe claims left Prince William “furious” due to the exposure of private family secrets.
The situation is further complicated by the strained dynamic between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. While Harry and Meghan have built a new life in California—often tied to lucrative media deals—William and Kate have remained focused on their royal duties in the UK.
