Prince Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are reportedly standing by their father as he faces a new wave of controversy and steps back from using his royal titles.
After years of intense public scrutiny over his connection with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, the Duke of York has now confirmed that he will “no longer use his title or honours.” The move marks one of the most significant personal retreats within the royal family in recent years.
According to royal commentator Jennie Bond, speaking to The Mirror, Beatrice and Eugenie are expected to continue offering emotional support to both of their parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
“Whatever else people may think about Andrew and Sarah, they’ve always been devoted parents and have raised two very kind and grounded daughters,” Bond explained. “Beatrice and Eugenie will remain Princesses and are likely to be welcomed at royal gatherings, including family events like Christmas at Sandringham.”
She added that the sisters have remained steadfastly loyal throughout their father’s troubles. “They’re incredibly close to both their parents and have supported them through every challenge. I’m sure they’ll be there for Andrew and Sarah through this latest crisis, just as they’ve done before.”
Bond also reflected on the emotional strain the situation might bring, noting, “They must truly believe in their father’s innocence—otherwise, it would be impossible for them to stand by him as they have.”
