Prince Harry Pays Quiet Tribute as Royal Family Marks Special Buckingham Palace Reception

The Royal Family recently gathered at Buckingham Palace for a reception marking the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth, a commemorative occasion that brought together senior royals in a display of remembrance and unity.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla were joined by Prince William, Princess Catherine, and other senior members of the Royal Family at the event. According to Buckingham Palace, the reception honoured representatives of the late Queen’s former charities and patronages, along with a number of centenarians who are also celebrating their 100th birthdays this year.

While members of the family attended in person, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, did not join the gathering in London. Instead, reports indicate he marked the occasion privately from his home in Montecito, California, by sending floral tributes in remembrance of his late grandmother. Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away in September 2022, is laid to rest at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, within the King George VI Memorial Chapel alongside close members of the Royal Family.

Buckingham Palace also shared highlights from the reception, emphasising the importance of recognising the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II and the continued work of organisations she supported throughout her life.

The occasion comes amid continued public interest in the relationship between King Charles III and Prince Harry. While there have been occasional reports suggesting efforts toward reconciliation, the situation remains largely private, with no official confirmation of any significant developments.

For now, the Palace event stood as a moment of reflection on the late Queen’s enduring legacy, bringing together key members of the Royal Family in her honour.
